Experienced Leader to Join EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç as Principal of Comanche Springs ES

Erb comes to EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç from Keller ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç, where she has served as principal at three different campuses over the past 11 years. She has a proven track record of success, notably implementing the Leader in Me program at Caprock Elementary, which earned the prestigious Lighthouse Certification status in 2022. 

"Amy Erb is a motivational leader known for her ability to create positive and stimulating learning environments built on actionable plans and clear measures of success," said Dr. Dana Barnes, EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç Deputy Superintendent. "With student success in mind, she is deeply committed to the professional growth of her teaching staff and ensures teachers are equipped with the latest educational tools and techniques to support student learning."

Erb earned her Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Midwestern State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Woman's University. She has extensive teaching experience in Northwest and Irving ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉçs, and served as an assistant principal and district math coordinator in Keller ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç before moving into campus administration.

"Amy's academic qualifications and professional accomplishments, coupled with her focus on supporting teachers and engaging students, will be valuable additions to the strong culture and connections that already exist at Comanche Springs," Barnes said. "We are excited to see the positive impact she will have at CSES and across EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç."

Erb and her husband, Frank, are both educators, with her husband teaching and coaching in Keller ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç. They have two grown daughters and a son who plays football at Texas A&M University. When she is not cheering him on during games, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing with her 1-year-old granddaughter.

Erb said she is excited for the opportunity to join EMS ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÉç and is most looking forward to meeting the students, staff, and families of Comanche Springs Elementary. She officially begins her duties as principal on July 15 to join in campus preparations for the upcoming school year.
